UNO-R, College Life of IT

      "In today's knowledge-based economy, what you earn depends on what you learn.” (William J. Clinton). The thought in this statement became the inspirations of IT people in this generation. We believe that in this specialization called Information Technology, will enhance our capabilities and skills especially in dealing with jobs in the future. That is why UNO-rian IT people together with our alma mater, cooperate each other to create a luminous life of technology.

           But being an IT students, means everything to us. Its not only a program, a course or a money thing. Its not an alibi to have our personal allowance and most of all, its not already a “no choice” course. Its more than a job to us, its more than a battle game of life. We struggle and perspire to win and fail to learn. We get confused to think and understand. We get friends to share and cooperate to gain competence in life. Its not all about money reasons but the contentment that we gain in this course.

      Some students treat their courses as a “no choice” course because they can't decide yet what is really for them or they are force to take it for parent's choice sake. Yes, I was one of them three years ago. I was forced to take this kind of course which I didn't even have an idea and enough knowledge about it. I was really disappointed and got annoyed every time I entered every class. But as time passed by, I just realized like I was falling in love with this course. Sweet but challenging course that taught me to love technology. Again, I can say that its not already a “no choice” course but its a game that we enjoy and a path that we chose to take.

      Technology molds IT people to be determined in their study career. Just like in my story on how I become an IT student, I am not alone with that heartwarming story. We, IT people are very proud in the path that we are taking right now. Lots of opportunities that awaits us and a brighter future to take. A future of not becoming a robots but an oracle of technology that will serve people which is the real purpose of this field.

    Preserve the principle of COMPETENCE, INTEGRITY & TEAMWORK! Be proud to be one of IT!
